HEALTHY EMOTIONS Workshop

Clinicians will be led through different evidentiary findings that aid in the understanding of a client’s emotional system, mood and perspective, specifically anxiety and depression, and how traumatic events and toxic stress affect these. Participants will be learn to distinguish between PTSD and toxic stress, as well as situational and generalized experiences in both anxiety and depression. Presented within the context of available interventions, clinicians will gain an understanding of the role of neuroplasticity and specific treatments that affect brain health, along with effective cognitive, behavioral, and relational strategies, all of which and taken together promote comprehensive well-being and improved mental health in their clients.

This 10-session workshop will be held on Zoom each Wednesday at 2 PM for 90 minutes, as I believe we learn more in short segments instead of a day-long seminar:

9/17 Primary Emotions

9/24 PTSD

10/1 Toxic Stress (And, what is stress?)

The cost of the workshop is $450, and 13.5 contact hours will be provided. If you would like to participate, please contact Loren Andrews at LA.LCSW@gmail.com
