As a clinical social worker, I am committed to providing quality and competent mental health care on individual, relational, and group levels, focusing on strengths, systems, and change. Facilitating discoveries from these perspectives.
I am also committed to contributing towards community change and improvement, particularly in the fields of education and human development. These contributions are pursued through both teaching social work curriculum at the University of Maine and serving in elected and volunteer capacities for local education organizations.

Loren Andrews, MA, MSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with a private practice in Rockland, Maine. He holds a Master of Social Work, Master of Art in Liberal Studies, and and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
His practice specializes primarily in relational and emotional discoveries, depression, anxiety, panic disorder, PTSD, and adolescent and adult Attention Deficit Disorder, well as helping victims of trauma in their recovery.
He is also an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Maine in the Masters program in Social Work. His classes include Practice in Generalist Social Work, Advanced Social Policy, Advanced Generalist Practice with Individuals, Advanced Generalist Practice with Communities and Organizations, and Adult and Child Psychopathology.
He is a 1999 graduate of the University of Maine MSW program, which followed a MA in Liberal Studies at the University of Maine, combining studies in psychology, philosophy, and religion. He received his BA in psychology from the University of Vermont in 1982.
In addition to his practice and teaching, Loren is Chair of the RSU 13 School Board (representing Cushing), also serves as Chair of the Student Engagement Task Force. His a member of the board of directors of the Mid Coast School of Technology. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Georges River Education Foundation. He has also been active in the Maine Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers, serving as past Chair of the Legislative Action Committee and Chair of Nominations and Elections. He was honored in 2015 as NASW-Maine's Social Worker of the Year.
Prior to these pursuits, Loren worked for several non-profits in social/human services and spent a decade working in various policy and political positions, including Special Assistant to Maine's Speaker of the House, Majority Leader, and Majority Whip. Other similar positions include an aide to a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Maine, a U.S. Senator and Presidential candidate, and an advisor to scores of Maine legislators and legislative candidates.
Loren is married and the father of two children, residing in Cushing, Maine.
